I'm not being irreverent. A big part of the liberal argument is to claim they own the compassionate position no matter how absurd it is. This is why somehow those against gun control have to preface every statement with a deference clause like, "We all agree this was horrible, but more gun control wouldn't have prevented this."

We'll always be on the defensive if we defer to the liberal position as the compassionate one.

It just goes to show if bad guys want to hurt or kill, a gun ban will not stop anyone. Objects of any sort don't kill. The man/woman behind the gun does, and you can't regulate stupidity.

I am sure all the replies, however sarcastic, make perfect sense when put into the "gun control" equation and its stupidity and uselessness. The only thing missing from the "bombings" is the fact that only one child died in the explosions--imagine if there had been a "child 5K" when the bombs went off and if 20 children had died ala Sandy Hook--imagine how these politicians would have reacted as they fed off the carcasses of "the children" as they did in Sandy Hook. You realize that all the gun control is not about Sandy Hook, it is about total ban and confiscation ala Hitler and Stalin and Mao and now our fearless narcissistic moslem leader dictator wannabe.

I'm for your right to own a pressure cooker. But, I think we should at least know who owns them. I suggest that we ask for ID at the home stores and put this into a database so we know who is buying them. I mean all of them. So if your grandmother wants to hand one down she has had for years, you need to go to a licensed pressure cooker dealer to broker the sale for you or at least generate a bill of sale so we can trace these things.

Robber shot dead by would-be victim outside Ft. Worth store

A would-be robber was shot dead by a person with a concealed handgun license outside a Metro PCS store in Ft. Worth on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect reportedly tried to rob a man in the parking lot outside the store.

The man with the CHL was shot in the arm and the hand by the robber, but the robber was shot multiple times in the chest.

The robber was dead at the scene.

I thought that they were supposed to be ever vigilent and prevent the Boston Marathon type Tragedy.
I guess they are more concerned about disarming citizens and playing politics and less concerned about our security.

Agree. Pressure cookers should at the very least, be limited to 1 a quart capacity. This is because we all know damn well, that a bomber cannot make multiple bombs using several 1 quart capacity pressure cookers while using a single detonation device. This is just one common sense solution while having an honest conversation about solving the problems caused by our porous boarders and totally worthless immigration/visa system.
