* Call 911 while being murdered? Then DIE! *

~The Dude Abides~
Multiple Dallas police sources told News 8 that you can actually hear Cook begging for her life and gasping for help.
In the background, you can hear her alleged attacker, her ex-husband Delvecchio Patrick, saying he's going to kill her.
She even screams out his name. The horrifying call lasts approx. 11 minutes before the line ultimately goes dead.
News 8 has learned officers in the field knew only that they were going to a domestic disturbance call, and very few details were provided to them. In fact, sources also tell us, the 911 operator never even relayed that Cook was being physically attacked. The responding officers arrived at the home, knocked on the door and then simply left when there was no answer.

Really!

I couldn't believe what I heard. 911 operators don't get the training they need for this job. Just hire anyone off the street, most cities just use it to recieve more Govt funding

An amazing story. It left me ill and angry that more wasn't done to ensure the safety and well being of that poor woman!
My prayers go out to her family.

If they had of known of impending bloodshed, they would have leaped frogged around the perimeter for twenty minutes, called a swat team in and evacuated the neighbors and she still would have been dead.

That may very well be true, but at least her murderer would have been taken off of the streets much sooner than later.

That would be if they actually got the right house! You would not believe how many times that I have listened to their radio transmissions between one team and another thats supposed to be coordinating a forceful entry into a house and one team is AT THE WRONG HOUSE! Thats the entire DFW area out here.

The coordination, if it wasn't such a serious issue, is down right laughable at times. A lot like the keystone cops comedy. And when you get the 911 dispatch involved, its much worse. Wrong address given, wrong info given, wrong description given, not enough info given, or failed to dispatch period.

Yet some want you to place your trust in local law enforcement completely? Yeah, Ok then,,,,,,,,,,,,,

This story makes me sick... they may not have gotten there in time but it sure would have been nice for the officers to have ALL of the relevant information about it being an ACTIVE attack happening, etc. so that maybe, just maybe -- the officers would have tried to get there faster and actually enter the premises.

Just another example showing that we must protect ourselves, there isn't anyone else that is gonna do it.

Being that its Dallas 911, it doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I had a bad dealing with them in the past.

I'm not sure that those folks get any training at all.
