California Live Scan

Does anyone know if other states can access or use California's "Live Scan" to do their background check for their state specific CCW? Or, does anyone know if a law enforcement agency that performs your "Live Scan" here in California can give the fingerprintee a reference number or something for the other states to utilize when completing their background investigation?

I know the state of Oklahoma has live scan for back ground checks at the jails. That's how they did my background check for my ccw permit.
This back ground check not only checks state's, but checks federal data banks. Its all linked together so if I had had problems in California and was checked in Oklahoma, the California problem would have come up.
My prints have been in the data banks since the day I entered the army. all live scan does is make it fast to find out if you have been bad.

As for California working with other states on background checks? I see where you are headed I think. trying to keep from having to send in a fingerprint card by mail or having to drive to the other state to do finger printing?
I know my Oklahoma permit has a lic.# on it. If you check with the ones doing the background check, that lic. # may work and save you the finger printing.

Of course this is just my 2 cents, and more then likely just a bunch of wishful thinking.
