Ok so my job has a lot of travel time and it often take me past Cabelas so I stop in this a.m they had a whole pallet of ammo out with a swarm of people hovering around it. They had bulk packs of 22lr in the flavor of CCI mini Mag's 1600 rounds for $119.00 seems like a fair price compared to other stores in the area asking $139.00. For a bucket of Remington Golden bullets 1400 count. Noticed I said they were asking $139.00 and they are still sitting there but back to Cabellas there were 4 people there from a pawn shop they all had matching ......pawn shop shirts on and they each had 5 of the 1600 round packages each and of course I was about to miss out until one of the Cabelas employees told them that there was a limit of one box so now there were 16 of them available and the employee offered one to me I was really happy because that meant my 8 year old son and I will have enough 22s to shoot all summer. I put them out in the chicken coop when I got home. So tonight I asked him if he checked their feed knowing he had I asked him to go double check for eggs so he would see them he came in grinning from ear to ear! So hats off to Cabelas for trying to make the best out of a bad situation. Looking forward to father son time plinking and warm weather.

I live 2 blocks from there. Last week a friend called me about 5:30 on Tuesday evening and told me thay had ammo, so I went. I got the last box of 9mm and no .22. Kind of sucks! Yesterday I was looking at handguns, (all the .22 and 9mm ammo was gone), and a saleman asked if I needed help. I said no, no sense in buying a gun I can't get ammo for!

Speaking about Cabelas: You go on their internet site for 22LR and usually find very little, which is not unusual these days for ammo. The thing that got me going was the fact that they limit your purchase to 1 box per order (I understand that) but then continue to be proud of charging me $5 flat shipping like they are doing me a favor. I contacted them per email telling them how ridiculous this was (let me see, I spend say $10 bucks on a box, which is all I am allowed, and now I have to spend $5 more for shipping --a 50% increase in my total cost. If they are going to limit to one box than forget the charge for shipping or maybe you increase the ammo cost by say a buck. I received back the usual corporate crap in a form letter. Do any people in corporate of most every consumer company have any brains?
