You know... I listened to this this morning. He managed to destroy one of my favorite songs from my teen years. One heck of an analysis though. I never would have seen any of what he puts out there.

I always find it funny when people take songs with one meaning, and use them for the complete opposite.

For example, Mercedes using Janis Joplin's "Mercedes Benz" in one of their ads. Ronald Reagan using "Born in the USA" (which is also a song decrying the deterioration of America.) Or anyone thinking "American Woman" is a positive statement about American women.

I know a lot of democrats that carry and believe in the 2A. Then again I live next door to a republican that's thinks no one should own gun except cops. So, just goes to shows that there are nuts in both parties.

I love when people think "Born in the USA" is patriotic. It's totally a song about a guy getting sent to Vietnam, coming back and getting no thanks from his country and ***** for luck. It's a total tragedy.

Yeah, I was agreeing - it's one of those that most people get the incorrect meaning from. (I do admit that it was one that I got wrong for a long time.)

That's as old as people justifying voting for Obama by saying that there wasn't another choice. The fact is, and will continue to be that the Democrats (call them liberals as a "conservative democrat" is only a socialist not necessarily a full communist) will ALWAYS be for more regulation and bigger government and the Republicans - not the turncoat infidel moderates that the democrats have abandoned like Adolf Bloomberg (for a Jew he sure acts like a Nazi oppressor doesn't he?) - the Republicans will be for smaller government and less regulation.

Pro gun and pro choice are two specific issues that don't define a philosophy. If you vote Libertard Democrat, you will get that at the end of the day regardless of individual issue stances. Look at people's overall philosophy not just pro gun, etc. Vote Democrat long enough and we'll have a dictator before long.

Funny, the Republicans seem to want to regulate what I can do with my body, and in the privacy of my home... The Democrats want to regulate corporations so that they can't lie/cheat/steal from the citizens of the country. (Yes, there are some hypocritical Democrats who want to ban guns, just as there are many Republicans that are hypocritical in the opposite way - declaring that gun rights and Christianity are inviolate, but personal health choices and religions other than Christianity should be demonized.)
