I don't know where you got your information but it is definitely false. It is still legal to buy weapons but veterans and gun owners are supposedly looked at as potential terrorists by Obama and crowd.

There was a bit of furor of military PTSD services being used to block gun ownership by veterans, but that I believe has been largely overblown.
