Has anyone noticed that you cant buy guns online....everyone is out of stock WTF is going on..
and no one can give me an honest anwser.

It's probably because no one knows how to answer your question so I'm gonna explain it, I apologize in advance if I sound condescending. You CAN buy guns online but no one has any. Have you gone to a gun store and seen the barren shelves? Honest question, have you read ANY of the threads here about the run on guns? How about a newspaper, or the news on TV. There's a massive run on firearms because of what happened in Sandy Hook. I had to spend five hours last night to find a follower and ejection port cover for an AR upper build. Lead times were awful before this happened and I had to buy a barreled upper assembly off GB for $600 (which was like $50 more than MSRP but I got EXACTLY what I wanted...now the same uppers are being bid up to $1500), now it's gonna take years to restock everything. So, yeah, of course they're gonna be out of stock but if you do a LOT of hunting around for parts or whatever you're looking for, you'll likely find it. If you don't, wait for the insanity to die down, and buy your stuff then. I hope I answered your question.

Hi dasher...it's like skinny said; there are many items that are in stock, however, the popular firearms are OOS...I can still get items for a customer, but, the buyer may need a bit of patience right now...anything popular needs to be ordered so the buyer can get into the que for what they want...or just wait until all of the feeding frenzy quietens down a bit...everyone in the system, from manufacturers, to distributors, to dealers, to shippers...all are working feverishly to meet demand, and the current demand is unprecedented...

Talked to an FFL and said that they stoped manufacturing and shipping...cant find Rugers, Taurus, Smith and Wess.. all web sites are OOS.
And they dont know when...you can buy used but thats not for me.

Thank you guys.... keep looking and waiting I guss

I ordered a JSE Surplus upper for my AR build on 12/26. Even though their site said Out of Stock they suggested everyone put their orders in as stock was coming in daily. Needless to say I received it on 1/15. The product IS out there, you just need to be patient.

At a gun show in Grand Rapids last week, I saw lower AR receivers going for $900. Complete ARs for $2495. NO common ammo. Gun stores around here don't have much stock at all. Amost NO ammo.

I hear of all this out of stock stuff. My lgs has ARs, they are a few hundred over priced just like anyone else. They also have almost all the popular handguns, more than one and for under retail. They have any ammo you want, just not quanity but overpriced (like everyone) for .223. Handgun ammo at regular price. But I'm not looking forward to all this out of stick stuff people keep talking about.

There was the run after CT, then the run after the legislation announcement. And they'll be a run by all us folks hungry for product after it starts to trickle in. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall at the SHOT show last week...I've been visiting any store that carries ammo in northern arizona and southern utah...just ain't in a 9mm....none. Cabella's warehouse has none. Bleak. Horders are lurking to pounce on any incoming guns, ammo or mags. I just want a few hundred 9mm for the range...

I can understand out of stock. But stop manufacturing & shipping???

CCI recently reported they are producing and shipping over 1 billion (with a B) rounds of ammunition per day (mostly .22LR), and yet no-one can keep it in stock... it's not a supply problem it's a problem with speculative hoarders buying up everything they can in order to take advantage of the higher demand at this point

I just emailed CCI......we'll see what they say.

Are you still producing for the commercial markets? Our stores have seen no resupply. How many rounds to you produce daily? How far out are you backordered?
Thank you,
Scott

My "problem" is that I'm not trying to build a 5.56/.223, I already have one, why build another? I wanna build a brutal coyote killer using the Spike's multi-cal lower I bought the day of Sandy Hook (because I knew this would happen...just not as insane). Either a 6.5mm Grendel or a 6.8 SPC II, I have the entire lower, good to go there. I have a stripped AO Precision A4 upper on the way (w/ M4 feed ramps) and RRA forward assist and ejection port door assemblies on the way as well. Now, I just need a BCG and a barrel...hah. Barrel is no problem but BCG, I'd settle for a BCG w/ carrier key (no bolt) and just toss my own bolt in there but I can't even find that. I'm almost ready to order from RGuns...something I swore I'd never do but most companies are throwing all of their production into 5.56/.223 parts, not the "obscure" calibers. Or I could build a .264-LBC-AR (Les Baer's version of the Grendel...which is compatible with Grendel ammo as long as I have the right bolt).

They have not stopped.
Our distributors are still shipping. It's just that the manufacturers can't turn out the product fast enough. Last year Ruger got hit with so many orders that in January, they stopped taking orders till May. Sig advertised the P226 MK25 in January and production didn't ramp up then until June. One of our distributors shipped an order today, on a two week old order. The firms are just swamped with orders. If a LGS has a stock of rifles and the location is posted, not long thereafter that store won't have any either.
