buying a rifle

tomorrow i am hopefully going to buy an m&p 15-22 from a shop here in new york. i have never personally purchased a rifle from a retail store so i am not sure on the process. i got a few questions before i go tomorrow. how long does the process take? is there any type of wait? and are there any secret fees that i will find out about during check out or is its just the price of the firearm plus tax? if someone can answer a few of these questions it would be much appreciated so i know what to expect tomorrow. thanks

Hi Ryan,

Should only take about 5 to 10 minutes for a quick FBI check. And it is usually price of weapon and tax. No special permits or anything else. Good luck.
