has anyone put one of these bushnell sportsman scopes on a ak??? and if so how did it hold up to the recoil

Not on an AK. I've had mine on my AR and on a Kel-Tec RFB (.308 bullpup) without any issues. Given that you'd likely be on an off-set floating mount you're going to have some weird movement at the scope during recoil. I'm not a fan of the top cover mounts, but some folks like those.

You can always fire off an email to Bushnell to ask that question before doing so.
