NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork)
— A business owner shot and killed a robber Monday in Newark.
Around 3:20 p.m., the suspect walked into an unidentified business in the 500 block of Central Avenue in Newark with a loaded gun and a backpack, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and Newark police.
The suspect announced a robbery, and ordered the owner to fill the backpack with money and gold. The suspect said he would shoot the owner’s family members if the owner did not comply, authorities said.
But the owner fought back. He pulled his own gun, and shot the suspect.
The suspect was taken to University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said.
The identity of the suspect has not been determined. The Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force launched an investigation, but no charges were immediately filed, authorities said

Is it NJ or Connecticut that bans hollow point rounds?
......I can never remember ...

Sent from behind enemy lines.

EDIT: It appears I have the same issue as you. After I posted I started to second guess myself and checked. NJ is the only state that restricts hollow points for use outside the home.

Mine is limited also but only by the amount I can carry at one time.
I was at Gun For Hire near Newark NJ getting an instructor certification some years back and during lunch the owner (Anthony) pointed out I had a hollowpoint keychain on my range bag. He insisted I cut it of because it was a real inert HP. Apparently I could get in trouble for it because it was made from a real round.

Now thats nit picky! But sounds like our government. Kinda like getting arrested for a switch blade comb.
