I bought my first and definitely not my last Bushmaster M4! The handle is removable and I can attach my EOTech HWS.

Of course a little gun porn:biggrin:

Congratulations! Nothing wrong with Bushmaster, they build a hell of a nice AR-15 rifle. These are my 5, and all of them run like tops. Not a single problem in thousands of rounds. Bill T.

Very nice!!!

I'll need some time to catch up with you:biggrin:

This is my first M4/AR15. Being a former new yorker, I have absolutely ZERO experience with assault rifles:cray: Thank You Bloomberg:hang3:
I just learned how to zero my rifle at 25 yards, pretty cool.

What should I do next with this carbine??

I have a shorty Bushy myself. love it. Had it for 7 years now. Zero problems with it. Bill T.- What in the hell is that cool looking piece on the right? And where do i get one? Is that a Bushmaster too?

That piece on the right looks to me like a Bushmaster Carbon 15 Type 21S Pistol

Yes, you are correct. It is a Bushmaster Carbon 15 Model 21-S. I mounted an EO-Tech Holographic sight on it. My wife loves it, (It's the one she's holding in my avatar.) A lot of people, especially the mall ninja crowd over at ARFCOM badmouth them, but most have never shot, let alone have owned one. They simply regurgitate everything they hear over there from the guru / "trainers" they slobber over.

The gun has been a fantastic performer, and is a blast to shoot. At night with Federal XM-133 Ball ammo it produces a volleyball sized fireball out of the muzzle. Pop cans are history out past 100 yards. I bought it strictly as a "fun gun" and it hasn't disappointed in that department. It really gets fun when I insert my 100 round Beta-C Mag! Bill T.

Now that have your first AR15 you'll start wanting all the fancy "Go Fast" gear.

SOPMOD or EMOD or IMOD stock.

Rail system.

New pistol grip. Ergo, MIAD, Tango Down Battle grip, etc.

Light and light mount on the rail.

Vertical foregrip.

Sling mounts in the right places. Two point, one point etc.

Optics with nice high quality mounts.

Enhanced bolt and bolt carrier for better reliability.

SOPMOD upgrade kit for the your extractor.

Before your done, you might even Cerakote the rifle in Deset tan camo, urban camo, Woodland.

It never stops. You might even want to change out the DGI system to a piston install system.

Have fun, this is going to be an adventure for you tricking out your M4'gery. :man_in_love:

First thing to remember is; they are not assault rifles... They assault no one...

They are automatic rifles.:pleasantry:

Say assault rifle aloud and you scare the natives, especially the pants wetting liberals in NY...:sarcastic:

Nice buy. I've been shopping for a flat top upper and I like what I see from Bushmaster...

You could always change the furniture... I recall having GI Joe action figures (the full size ones back in 1975, not the little ones they have now) and I had fun with all the tools and accessories. Changing things around. I have that same spirit of fun with the AR15...

I added the MAGPUL MOE Dark Earth furniture set recently. Check here for some good deals. http://dsgarms.com/

I found the kit that I just added: MAGPUL MOE pistol grip, 6 position stock which included the MIL SPEC tube, buffer, spring and hardware, and the carbine length handguard for $99.95 Free shipping and no tax...

More gun porn...

Assault Rifles?!?!? I thought it would only take a few weeks to wash that New York stink off of me. Jeesh, see what ex-new yorkers have to go through, oh well, back to therapy.

Oh yeah, nice ARs!! And, why are you placing the scopes on top of the handle instead of just removing the handle and placing them on the rail??

I was born in White Plains brother, been in MA sine 1975. The same thing will happen here if you say assault rifle aloud. :sarcastic: They run screaming and wet their pants... Looney liberals.

My rifle originally was a pre-ban A2 configuration w/full fixed stock and fixed carry handle. Like below..

xlg_AR1293.jpg

The scope on it now is the Millett DMS-1 for longer range use with the bipod. I'm ordering a Vortex Strikefire Red/Green Dot 1x for close range. With the stock fully collapsed, the eye relief for the DMS scope makes it difficult to use close quarters mounted on the carry handle. Its really better suited for a flat top upper.

I'm looking to build a flat top model for a 2011 project so I'll end up swapping the DMS to that rifle. I need to begin with a pre-ban lower so that I can do what I want to the rifle. MA still has a version of the 1994 "assault weapons ban" in effect. The dumb arse liberal politicians here believe the collapsible stock will make it more likely to cause serious injury or death.:no:

Have fun making it your own. That is really the most interesting part of owning one. Taking a vision and making it the rifle you hold in your hands...
