wow another religious nutter!
attention seeking hateful ignorant ahole woman imo as the bible has similar passages in it as well just as much violence ....
not to mention a waste of good bacon!
I agree with you here...we should not go below their level. We have a higher moral standard that that....IMHO this is BS. I feel the same as she does about the koran, however, she comes off as a hormone fulled, (yes, I'm a woman too) attention seeking airhead. I am livid when I see "them" burning my Bible and/or Flag but I would not burn "their" book in such a manner to prove a point. (and I don't believe she is trying to prove a point I believe she is putting on a show for attention)
I have no doubt that my post will bring in the haters, that's fine. I just think she's in the wrong here and I would say the same thing no matter which religious book she was burning. That video reminds me of my kids having a tantrum when they were very, very young.
OK..and the haters start......Now
I agree we need to stay on the high road, but a large part of their world and beliefs are rooted in the 7 Th century, theft, rape, murder, hate mongering, to mention just a few, and unfortunately the only thing they seem to understand are acts such as these.I agree with you here...we should not go below their level. We have a higher moral standard that that....

Agreed. That was sort of ridiculous.
Ridiculous? no a very long and drawn out video yes, but ridiculous no, She wanted to make a point, one of the Koran is full of hate, and preaches violence against not just those not of Islam but their own women as well. If you actually listen to her she goes into great amounts of detail on each verse quatrain before she burns it.
Tucker's Mom said:The eagle has some pests, one of which is the crow. Hes always squawking, always
causing the eagle trouble. The truth is we all have a few crows in our life. You may
have an entire flock of them, along with a few chickens and turkeys as well!
Certain people can rub us the wrong way; they can irritate us if we allow them to.
We need to take a lesson from the eagle instead. When the eagle is out flying, often
a crow will come up right behind him and start to pester him, aggravating and
annoying him. Although the eagle is much larger, he cannot maneuver quickly. To get
rid of his pest, the eagle simply stretches out his eight foot wingspan and catches
some of the thermal currents, and he rises up higher and higher. Eventually, he gets
to an altitude where no other bird can live. The crow cant even breathe up there.
On rare occasions, eagles have been spotted at altitudes as high as 20,000 feet,
nearly as high as a jet flies.
If you want to get rid of your pests, you need to rise higher. Dont sink down to
the oppositions level. Be the bigger person. Overlook their faults. Walk in love
and dare to bless even your enemies. In the long run, crows cant compete with
eagles.
The turkeys, chickens, and crows cannot live at the altitude for which you were
designed to soar. You dont have to worry, nor must you be controlled by your
circumstances. You can do as the eagle and rise up above. What are the turkeys,
chickens, and crows in your life right now?

So is the Bible, if you'd really like to dissect it. Re-reading it, and only halfway through Genesis, there has already been admonitions to kill disobedient children, homosexuals, and fortune tellers. At this point, men of god have advised offering virgin daughters up to gang rape, and mothers encouraging their sons to swindle their fathers out of birthrights.
You can find evidence for any argument if you look hard enough. The questions you need to ask are: Is it true, is it kind, and is it helpful?
The Torah, Bible, and Koran all share a common history. If you're going to rip apart one, you risk shaking the foundations of the other. Which, honestly, is fine by me. Just make sure when you are hunting monsters you don't become one yourself.
The Holy Bible unlike the koran tells us to love your neighbor, help your enemy as long as you can do so without him harming you, all the things you mentioned were from man and not from God (except for when the children of Isreal went into Canaan then God said if the will not live peaceably with you then kill them) He never says kill those who will not turn to Him.
He says He will be their judge not us.
My post here about the eagle and the crow is for the burning of the Koran by that lady mentioned and NOT for other sentiments on terrorists. My message is about rising up above the levels of some who dare drag us lower to the gutter of hate and despair. Be strong like the eagle and fly higher (in morals.) Not in degradation. We have been for in excess of 1,400 years now and all that got us was 911 and more terrorist attacks we need to do the other thing an Eagle does well and that is defend ourself and not be your chicken.....
The man who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the LORD your God must be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel. Deuteronomy 17:12
If you read the verse in it's context you will see that it implies to a person not following the punishment given to him/her by the preist or judge, which is no different than a harsh 3 strike rule for todays criminals. Also that is part of the law that God gave to Isreal in order to keep them pure, and on the right path. And yes God did give the exception to kill when laws were broken, but never because someone would not follow Him, with the exception of purging the land He gave to Isreal. In which case He gave Isreal specific instructions on what they could and could not do. Sorry that we don't see eye to eye on this but that's why religion and politics are sensitive topics, almost everything depends on how you look at it.
