Bump Stock for AR-15

Does anyone have any opinions/experience with the bump stocks on the AR-15? The video on military gun supply and on youtube is fairly dramatic with the rate of fire achieved. However, I've had one gunshop dealer tell me that they do not work as advertised. In the videos they are not much less than a fully automatic AR-15. I would welcome opinions/comments as I am considering purchasing one. One last thing, I have a Bushmaster Carbon-15 with Red Dot sight. Even if a bump stock works as advertised, would this be ok on this particular gun? I sent an email to military gun supply and they said it would, just checking with possible actual users.

I've shot one installed on a Bushmaster Carbon-15 and they are fun. It takes a little getting used to to make it fully auto or burst fire, my suggestion get a vertical grip installed on the front because barrel rise happens really quickly. You can run 30 rounds in very quick succession might wanna get a couple 100 round mags too to make the fun last longer.

Thanks for the feedback!!! They definitely look fun. Just didn't know if the Carbon-15 was rugged enough to handle it.
