BREAKING: CO Governor Signs Sweeping Gun Control Bills Into Law

How wonderful, violent crime with guns has ended in Colorado. Lets celebrate with a maryjane party inside the state capital building. Don't bring any tobacco, wouldn't want to do something illegal. :sarcastic:

God Bless Texas, where common sense still prevails. And I hope Magpul comes down here - we'll welcome them with open arms.
Colorado? Another state I'll write off my list.

All of you Coloradans are welcome to come to Virginia. Based on what I have heard about the new law everything except the 22 cricket is going to be banned. Virginia is a very gun friendly state...open carry or concealed carry whatever you want, 30 round mags no problem...carry as many as you want. Virginia and its citizens respect others enough to treat them like adults. The elites in Colorado treat you like the weekend trash!

Lol not sure this qualifies as breaking news we all knew it was coming. Let's just see how long it lasts...(hopefully not long.)

Just curious... when are the good, common sense people of Texas, going to do something about Austin?

I think NY set the stage for other states to get away with nonsense laws.
.
Speaking of a nanny state... everyone remembers Bloomy wanted to ban sodas above 16 once in NYC. It was shot down by the state courts. Now he wants to enact a law that requires stores to hide their cigarettes behind a curtain or under a counter so not to be viewed by young people. What??? We're living in a crazy world these days.

This is a disgrace to all Americans. How did these idiots get this done you ask? A lackadaisical attitude by the American public I say! The price of Liberty is eternal vigilance....and so far we've been asleep. Will America morph into Amerika? It's in our hands.

Sad day for common sense. This legislation is just common dense.
This has nothing to do with common sense. It has more to do with good intention and showing the low information voter that you care enough to do something. No issues need be solved. Caring enough to do something is what buys votes.

Don't worry about Texas, my Northern Friend... Things are happening here for the betterment... the cogs of government here turn slowly, but they seldom get bogged down... siesta times and all that... so just you worry about Iowa. Unless of course you're planning a move South in the near future...??? :o)

Come on guys, you're using derogatory remarks and making it sound like the government official in my home state are nothing but a bunch of liberal jack wagons who need to be booted from office ASAP. Keep it up cause you're RIGHT.

Interesting that Bloomy is lowering the penalty for small amount of pot possession. At least he said that when people get caught with small amounts of pot they usually end up with an overnight stay in jail and that won't happen any more.
Don't know if this is accurate but I was told that His Honor (really) enjoys practicing self defense knife fighting but the city can't change the knife laws so they are "redefining" the nomenclature so that almost any type of carry knife is illegal.
This came from someone in the retail business (guess what he sells, knives) that got it from a well placed source.

Back in the eighties I can remember leaving class at the end of the day and walking to Grand Central to catch the train home. There were hundreds of thousands of people walking around midtown at rush-hour and thousands walking along smoking a joint. As a student I was guilty of it too. There were so many that the cops didn't even bother. That was mostly along 42nd St. between Grand Central and port Authority bus station near the porn theater district. Then Rudy came along and cleaned up Manhattan. The pot busts began and no one puffed as they walked along anymore. NYC has since spent so many millions of dollars prosecuting a joint that it spins one's head. From now on they'll just issue a violation ticket which can be mailed-in.

I like hundreds of others showed up at the Capitol building to testify against the bills and were ignored. I will be actively campaigning (Even going door to door if need be) and in districts other than my own to make sure these libtards are replaced.

So Colorado loses $85B due to the sequester, then they go and actively run 25% of the total tax revenue out of the state (Magpul Industries) by passing draconian gun control legislation that likely will not stand up to judicial scrutiny and even if the law is dumped by the courts or repealed, Magpul is still gone. Seems smart to me, in a roundabout liberal way. Then they're gonna raise taxes (wild guess) and more people will leave (another guess).
