Boy?s Water Pistol Threat Leads To Confiscation Of Father?s Guns, License : Personal Liberty Digest?

April 10, 2013 by Bob Livingston

Yeah, this makes sense: A 10-year-old suggests a bully should be shot with a water pistol, so the police confiscate his father’s firearms and the State revokes his concealed-carry permit.

It happened in New York, a State that is notorious for the difficulty it causes its residents who want to legally carry a gun and that recently suspended the U.S. Constitution and passed draconian gun restrictions. The father posted news of his plight April 1 on the Longislandfirearms.com forum.

As much as he’d like it to have been a bad April Fool’s joke, it’s not. In addition to having his guns confiscated and his license revoked, John Mayer’s son was suspended for two days by the Hauppauge School District following the March 1 incident. When Mayer inquired the next day about when his license would be restored, police told him it would be restored when his son turned 18 and moved out of the house.

Those running the non-education indoctrination system that passes for education have simply lost whatever minds they once possessed; and their ridiculous, mind-numbed zero-tolerance policies are causing kids and parents all manner of hardship and even resulting in criminal records for victimless non-crimes. And New York government long ago divested itself of common sense and restraint.

Mayer has sued the school system and the Suffolk County Police Department in Federal court. “It’s completely absurd,” Mayer’s attorney James Murtha said. However, Murtha does not find the case surprising. He said that Suffolk County has a reputation for stepping on individuals’ gun privileges.

“We’ve been involved in cases and situations where police have severely injured or hampered someone’s rights,” he said . “We see enough wrong doing on both parties to be going toward a federal cause of action because of the civil rights implication.”

Well it's an Obama State correct? Just shows how far these anti-firearm thugs will go to make a point. I feel sorry for the people who live in these states that are removing peoples rights, and making examples of them.

If Mr. John Mayer decides to continue living in New York after all of this bullcrap, then he 'deserves' to eat this crow imho.

Wake Up America!
Move the hell out of these fascist nanny states!!
Take your family and your tax dollars to other states that actually respect your God given Constitutional Rights!

While I understand what you're saying Brother, and have implemented as much of this thought in my own life as is possible, the sad truth is that no such place exists in this country anymore. There are only states that violate constitutional rights to some lesser degree than others. None of them respect, protect, or abide by them anymore. The republic, as-constituted, is already dead. We're just the large family taking opposing stands on how to conduct the funeral.

This is part of John Holder's "different look at guns". I mean, you cannot feel negativaly about guns if you're going to have fun with "water" guns. if gun is in the title of the toy it cannot be used for fun. Period. I think everything even resembling a gun should be considered dangerous. We need to target some items that come to mind: The hand held scanner at the checkout at the grocery store - has a handle resembling a gun handle, All videogames with guns - I was evil enough to play that alien game at chuck e cheese last week with my son, Tape guns - again a handle that looks like a gun handle, Gyro sandwiches - in the movie Casino one of the gangsters had one in thier hand and it was mistaken for a gun, Flare guns - Sorry boaters but we have to do it and that means me too. And this is just a start....

This country, formerly the USA, is now an asylum run by its inmates. This latest gun crap is just that--a pile of dung that attracts flies like the garbage in the whitehouse as he continually feeds off the carcasses of 20 dead children in Sandy Hook. He even uses the childrens' asinine parents, who have lost all sense of reality, as his dupes. These parents are now on TV, in People Magazine and probably will have spreads soon in Playboy, which would not surprise me anymore in this asylum. Amazing isn't it--no one cares about the deficit, no one cares about out of control spending, no one cares about a ridiculous budget that does nothing but raise taxes and spending--no one cares about things that truly important if this country is to even exist in 4 more years as the great country it once was. This is Hitler reincarnated--he captured the minds of the people who looked through rose-colored glasses and did not see what was happening or going to happen. We are now in the midst of the attempt to confiscate our weapons and/or make our lives miserable if we keep them by using the ATF/FBI/Justice Dept as his gestapo. I do not think we will even know this country by the next presidential election--IF WE EVEN HAVE ONE.
