Bonded Ammo

I have recently been enamored with the .45 golden saber ammo. The only reason I see not to use it is the price. It's expensive. By the way I'm very new at this if you have any opinion about other bonded ammo feel free to help me out. Particularly in .45 and 9mm.

The bonding process fuses the bullet core with its jacket to prevent separation. Having said that, there are many factors when it comes to bullet construction. For example, Gold Dot bullets are bonded, while Federal HST bullets are not. Both are, however, excellent self defense choices. As for the non-bonded version of the Remington Golden Saber .45 ACP 230 grain JHP, it does suffer from jacket separation:

I consider this an old bullet design. There are significantly better choices, such as the mentioned Gold Dot and Federal HST. You can get the Federal HST ACP 230 grain JHP (P45HST2) right now for $0.64/round at Link Removed.

As for 9mm, same thing. I carry Federal HST 147 grain.
