Forgive me if someone beat me to the punch on this but I believe he needs to stick to sports commentary and leave my 2nd amendment rights out of his half time show.

What happened in Kansas City was a tragedy but blaming the gun for the domestic violence is ridiculous. Blame the person not the weapon.

Costas is a New York elitist who knows nothing about what ordinary Americans do every day to protect their lives and property. The idea that a 250 lb. linebacker couldn't find a way to kill his girlfriend had he not owned a gun is absurd. Costas should be mocked for the clueless fool that he is.

How about a massive petition to NBC to remove the idiot.

The best way would be to petition the sponsors of Sunday Night Football. You hit NBC in their wallet and you will get their attention. Most likely they will ignore any petition directed at them. They may slap his hand in public but behind closed doors they will slap him on the back and give him a raise. NBC is a VERY left wing leaning organization. Look how they treat all Libs compared to Conservatives.

Here's what I sent to NBC Sports:

Bob Costas inserting politics into what Americans of all political stripes see as one of the few remaining escapes from the divisive partisanship that seems to infect everything these days. Taking advantage of a captive halftime audience, Costas sucker punched millions with a left-wing sermon about gun control. The fact that Costas does this while God Bless America can be heard in the background is not an irony that should be lost on anyone. Why didn’t he talk about the negative results of doping, head injuries & concussions? That would have been more important for today’s younger generation, don’t you think? And who ever approved this speech should be fired and if it was Bob Costas so be it, fire him.
