blue on my ruger lcp

I got a lcp with the blued steel... I didn't like the fact that the barrel got scratched from shooting so , I sanded it all to a shiny steel... Looks a lot better .. I would upload a picture if I knew how to ... Anyone did this ?

I did that once with my dads bold action shotgun and found that I had to keep oiling it to keep it from rusting. I hope you have better luck but watch for the slightest sign of rust.

Steel is blued or mono-coated for a reason. Keep an eye out for rust on that barrel

My buddy said make sure I check and oil ot once a week and then it will stay amazing looking
