You know, this is so counterintuitive. If someone ever shot at me, my response would be to arm myself and insure that anyone wanting to take a shot at me ever again would have to work for it. I would be urging everyone I knew to provide for their own protection. Instead, the response of these folks is to make sure that NO ONE has the ability to protect themselves or anyone else.

Completely illogical.

Yeah, I had high hopes (naive ones, I guess) that she would take that kind of stand, being from Arizona and being a gun owner etc. I don't know that she hasn't - I'd sure like to see a transcript of what was discussed. Even if she tried to talk sense to Bloomberg, he'd never hear it.

The NRA gave Giffords a D for her voting record; since the shooting her husband is using his celebrity to push for more gun control. Like I said in another post, this is completely counterintuitive. If I, or somebody else that I know, am ever shot, I work to make sure that I have the ability to defend myself; I don't work to disarm everybody else and take away their right and ability to defend themselves.
