He actually said one thing that we can agree with: "The problem, Bloomberg said, is that Congress doesn’t 'fund enforcement' of existing gun laws..." Funny, I think we've been calling for better enforcement of existing laws for a LONG time.

Of course, the interview goes down hill from there.

There isn't ENOUGH national coverage of firearms-related violence - only after a major event. That isn't enough for Bloomberg.

NEW YORK—New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the media need to improve their coverage of gun violence, arguing the press pays attention to gun-related deaths only after mass shootings.

In an interview with NBC’s Jimmy Fallon, Bloomberg called the Dec. 14 shooting that killed 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., “terribly tragic,” but said there is scant coverage of people who are killed by guns every day.

So he wants to make sure that every firearm-related death in this country receives national exposure. Yeah. THAT will help cut down on crime. Nutjobs crave attention; insuring that every firearm-related death gets national coverage will insure that even more nutjobs resort to using firearms.

Unfortunately a large number of people do take Bloomberg seriously. What is worse, his view is that since he has billions, he is justified in making everyone else adopt his loony views. And it works. He is the font of Kool-Aid. He is intent on buying the country's liberties guaranteed by our Constitution, because he can.

I really think he could be an asset in some circumstances. The current thinking among the physicists is that there is a real chance of parallel universes existing. One interesting experiment would be to place Bloomberg at the focus point of the Large Hadron Collider and see if that would throw him back to his native parallel dimension. He would be an excellent subject since he is so tenuously connected to this one.

Does anyone take that fool seriously? I'm so glad I don't live In NYC

Unfortunately, we in Michigan have to begin taking him more seriously since our governor showed his true colors about Second Amendment rights. Bloomberg spent several hundred thousands of dollars to influence our elections and legislation. Snyder is a closet Bloomie (Bloomer?).

I don't know who makes me want to puke more. Bloomberg or the Media that become sexually aroused by reporting him.

There is already a disproportionate amount of media coverage for firearm related deaths compared to other objects.

Secondly, how do guns kill people Bloomberg? Do they have a mind of their own?

Fame and notoriety are what these crazy people do it for. Their live are crap and want people to remember them. Media coverage is not the answer. Unless you never mention the persons name or show his picture. Take advice from the NFL and other sports, pan the cameras away from fights and streakers. Don't give hem theirv15 mins of fame. Bloomberg is an idiot.
