OK, he didn't mean to, but you know what they say about the best laid plans. Some of my wife's co-workers (all teachers, and not necessarily pro-gun) saw this ad - and it scared the daylights out of them. They are now seriously considering buying guns for home defense - and I didn't have to say a word about it! The message they came away with wasn't about keeping guns out of the hands of bad guys, it was that, when seconds count, police are minutes away.

The reason for this video - and its timing - just became clear. Yesterday, dems introduced the Domestic Violence Gun Homicide Prevention Act of 2014, a bill that would require states to confiscate the firearm of any person under a restraining order. This video is intended to put pressure on legislators to pass the bill, as well as to firm up the gun control bona fides of the congresscritters who intro'd it.
