Around here, most of the gun shops were 'eating' the tax. That brought a lot of folks in that friday.

I almost bought another. I thought I was being silly and then kicked myself the next week. I felt so bad that I bought another anyway this past friday from a friend and didn't pay any tax then either.

Just in case you wanted to know, it's a Springfield TRP with the full rail. They stopped making those awhile back and now they have a half rail. It is really sweet to shoot, hardly any kick for a .45!

I got a 24 gun stack on gun safe for $399 from Dicks. I don't usually leave the house on Black Friday, but I needed a safe and it saved me about $500 not including shipping. They had buy 1 get 1 ammo half off. Its usually a rip off to get ammo there, but with that discount it was reasonable. When I checked out they gave me a $20 off anything coupon for the next time and Im sure Ill get a bunch of coupons because I used my Dicks card.

I'm so thankful for no tax in Oregon. There's also a shop here that eats the NICS fee so the price on the tag is out the door. So far they've had the cheapest prices through all of that too.
