Better Wallet Holster?

My preferred carry in the summer is a wallet holster for my LCP Ruger. However, all I can find are holsters that leave the area just in front of the trigger guard thin. A regular wallet is equally thick over the entire surface, meaning this type of hoslter will print just on 3 corners making it pretty clear what's back there.

Does anyone know of a wallet-type holster that pads out that area in front of the trigger guard so the end result looks more like a 4-corner wallet? Thanks!!

Hi Scott, Check out this link. I bought a very similar holster last year at Sturgis, and it totally hides the gun and looks like a wallet from the back. Can't tell the difference.

Good Luck!!

Not sure if this will help ,but this is a route that I'm thinking about going.

Sorry man I gave you the wrong one.... Just click on Lcp when you go to the link.

That's a great idea - concealing the top view. What I'm worried about is the stitched area around the 2 rivets and the trigger guard. This thin area lets the rest of the gun print to the outside showing the profile of the gun. In jeans, over time, you get the outline of the gun worn onto the pocket... Just like you can tell if someone carries a snuff can in their back pocket after a while, whether they have it in there or not, this is the same problem. I could get hauled up by the police just for the image on the pocket, regardless if I'm carrying or not. By the time the jeans show that a little too clearly, they're just becoming really comfortable....

I'm about to cut a bit of wood and rivet that to the wallet holster I already have (and like) just to pad it out to the overall shape and thickness of a regular wallet.

Man, I appreciate the tip - that's a fine holster! Might get that and do the trick with the wood.

It looks like they do pad the under-barrel area a bit. I really like the idea of pulling the whole unit out instead of fishing for just the gun. I like my current holster in that the inside is slick, and the outside suede, so it lets loose of the gun easily. But this idea - bad guy wants the wallet, what he sees coming out of your pocket looks like a wallet, so he thinks he's won, but with a hell of a surprise!! Thanks for the tip - more good choices than I thought there'd be....

Not crazy about a holster that leaves the trigger exposed like that. I think you are asking for a accidental discharge.
