J John23 New member May 10, 2013 #1 I don't camp much, but was looking for a place to go that has trees, lol. I have camped at Lake Lahontan, and it is a dry desert out there, very desolate. I want to stay within around 100 miles of Reno, Nv. Thanks for any insight. Edit: May 27, lol

F FTG-05 Member May 11, 2013 #2 Why not the Black Rock Desert, it's about a 100 miles north or Reno. Specifically, Trego Hot Springs, on the south central side of the Desert. Explore all day, then soak in the hot springs at night before turning in: Heaven. Link Removed
