Can't speak much to the Nano. If it's the one I'm thinking about, I found it the be extremely 'top' heavy, disproportionately so. Granted that might help with recoil. I have a Ruger SR9C and I love it. Recoil management is very good, and it's very accurate. I also like the price point of the SR9C as compared to the S&W M&P and Springfield XD-M. Mine was about $420 with 10 and 17 round magazines. If it means anything to you, Ruger's are made in the USA, which I like. My standard advice is buy what you'll shoot and hold all day: gun or camera. If it's not comfortable and easy to use, you won't use it. If you can't 'point it' with sights aligned naturally, I'd keep looking. A gun must point naturally, in my opinion.
