Beloit Police Ask Residents To Volunteer To Have Their Homes Searched For Guns

Police in Beloit are launching a new effort to reduce gun violence in which they're asking city residents to volunteer to have police search their homes for guns.

Police Chief Norm Jacobs said he doesn't expect the phone to be ringing off the hook with requests for police to search their homes. He nevertheless hopes the program will encourage people to think about gun violence as an infectious disease like Ebola, and a home inspection like a vaccine to help build up the city's immune system.

"Gun violence is as serious as the Ebola virus is being represented in the media, and we should fight it using the tools that we've learned from our health providers.”

Jacobs said he hopes some searches will result in the discovery of guns they didn't know were in their own homes. He said that there’s also a chance they’ll find guns linked to crimes.

This is nothing more than a "Gestapoesque" fishing expedition. Anyone foolish enough to allow LE into their home under this ruse has no business being a part of a truly free society. Remember: "Anything you say (or possess, that we don't like) can and will be used against you in a court of law".
Regretfully, this is the type of totalitarianism that asks in it's incipient stages but devolves into executions in it's latter iterations.

While we search your home for guns, we will be searching for meth labs, contraband, vicious pets, prostitution, drug use, unhealthy living conditions, active warrants, harboring illegals (which they will not do a damn thing about), prepping of food and water, conservatives in the household, unlawful shanks, hunting knives, bug-out bags, hoodies, hydroponic gardens, Christmas tree ornaments that may be used in the commission of crimes we define, and in general, just scary looking sh!t.

If we left anything out, it will be looked for during the second inspection to expedite felony arrests...To Serve, and Protect.

I`ve never seen a violent gun either, but I have seen lots of violent people. So its just a made up word used by the anti gun crowd to further there agenda. These people just love to make up special words, it must make them feel important. I have one word that describes all of it, ! BULLSCHIT !.
