There are some concealed carry people who just can't wait to show their permit to a cop and tell them about their gun..... I think the OP is proof of that fact. Why not just walk up to the next police officer you see in public and say, "Excuse me, officer, but I would just like to take this opportunity to show you my concealed carry permit and inform you that I am carrying a gun, would you like to handle my firearm for your safety?"
