Bay Area Open Carry Test Waters At Starbucks

The Bay Area Open Carry group tested out the waters (or should I saw coffee) at a California Starbucks.

"We're just a bunch of citizens exercising their Second Amendment rights, which if you don't use them, you'll probably lose them," Gus Konstantaras with East Bay Open Carry told ABC7.

When asked Saturday if they had a policy on open carrying of guns, Starbucks said in a statement, "Starbucks supports the federal, state and local laws of the communities in which we do business."

Good post! Good to know!

It's getting attention across the nation. We all should make a point to gather local 2A advocates in our respective states and plan for a gathering to test the waters or coffee...

Any takers in MA?

Been OCing for a year and a half in Wisconsin. Pretty much tested the waters here folks. Check out Link Removed and ICarry.Org for more info on what everyone is doing.

Open carried into Starbucks this morning in AZ...which isn't a big deal I guess, but fun to report.

I open carry almost everywhere, Cabela's, Albertson's, Safeway, Walgreens, Subway, Chipotle, I could go on. Exceptions: the bank, Costco (sign posted), church (because it's at a school?). Otherwise, anything goes. Rarely do I get a second look. I seem to be treated slightly more politely sometimes, but otherwise it's nothing at all.

I asked a local LEO who is a SGT with Bourne PD about open carry and he told me that if one did OC it it might be cause for the issuing authority (Chief Police) to revoke ones Class A LTC. I haven't looked at the law recently, and am not sure if there's a law in MA against open carry. I guess if there isn't a law it isn't against the law. I'd rather open carry in VT and NH anyway and just CC in MA.
