Barrel size on revolver

If I switched from a 38 special 2" to a 3" barrel would I notice the difference in accuracy or recoil?

I don't believe the recoil will be noticable but you accuracy will definitley improve. I've had snubnose revolvers that I could not hit the side of a barn with. Another inch of barrel will make a difference. Also..improved sights helps alot. My opinion only.

I've had a S&W 60 3" full lug and a S&W model 642 Centennial .....there was absolutely NO doubt that the shorter model 642 kicked like an angry mule compared to the model 60~3inch ....when using the same 38+P loads....

Accuracy-wise, the model 60 3 incher had good adjustable sights... the 642 had groove and blade sights..... difference in accuracy was day vs night.

Length of barrel will not affect mechanical accuracy in a pistol round.
Short sight radius will amplify any sighting errors.
I like the Ruger SP101 with a 21/4 in barrel
