It still amazes me how many of the "2nd amendment supporters" on this site are so "Anti 2nd amendment"......... IOW.... "no-one should be able to exercise their RIGHTS in a way that I dont approve of"

Who says that? good honest common since dictates.

Did you see his berm? His impact area? He is taller then the berm. Standards have been set for over 65 years on proper range design and how to make it safe for the land owner, and operator of any facility. These standards are not hard to do and IF he has a proper range that would allow him to safely exercise his rights I am all for it. But to do stuff like this, its nothing more then to gain attention.

Once again because you can, does not mean you should.

BTW, if he works at UPS I bet you he will not understand why they would drop him too.

So is that the only community in the country that doesn't have a no shooting in the city limits ordinance?

While he has the right to enjoy his property as he sees fit, he also has a duty to ensure his activities don't bring harm to neighbors. He is derelict in his duty. That's no range. Shooting in a subdivision is not a reasonable thing.

2A is about the right to keep and bear - it says nothing about shooting in your front yard. The homes in that neighborhood are so close you can just about shake hands from one home's side window to the next.

Yes, it seems to be a bad idea. I sure wouldn't trust that impact area to catch everything I put into it, especially around my neighbors.

UNTIL his exercising his RIGHTS actually harm someone, then ANYONE who degrades him or talks bad about his choice is showing their COMPLETE IGNORANCE of what RIGHTS are...

I would bet if this guy was setting up his pistol range next door to you, you would think differently.

Not a 2nd Amendment issue- This is a property rights issue.

Bottom line for the Libturd AG's disguised as Pro 2nd Amendment supporters= It's his property! It's a legal range!

Unless there is a noise ordinance or some other statue that makes it illegal to shoot in ones own front yard, people just need to STFU and stop being whiny biotches.

Or maybe they just don't think his "range" is satisfactory.

No one is saying anything about his right to keep and bear arms, just that his "range" set-up doesn't seem to be very safe.

His neighbors, or some (if not most) of the members of this forum? :stop:

From the article:
“I don’t know if this idiot is gonna start popping off rounds,” neighbor Patrick Leary told WFLA. “You heard him say, ‘Oh, I’ll tell the neighbors when I’m getting ready to fire,’ — what, then we call gather our children and then we hide in a safe room or something ridiculous? Come on.”

It seems like his gun range is just a work in progress and he hasn't even used it yet.

Well, you would lose that bet.... I have one (rifle range) in my yard, and l very much respect everyone elses RIGHTS (unlike you) so why in the heck would l care if my neighbor wanted to do the same thing l have done?

Exercising your rights, and exercising common sense, are often two very different things. This guy's lack of common sense, and lack of common courtesy for his neighbors, ia stunning. This is the type of moron, who gives shooters a bad reputation. In most towns noise ordinances, or laws regarding discharging a firearm within city limits, would outlaw his stupidity.

I don't think people should shoot at ranges that aren't safe. Does that make me crazy?

If someone has a range on their property with impact areas and berms sufficient enough to prevent rounds from leaving their property, more power to them! All I'm saying is that this guy's set-up doesn't look all that safe, what I'm saying has nothing to do with his second amendment rights.

lt has been inspected and has been found by the representatives of law enforcement to BE SAFE!!!!!! So you have no effing clue what you are saying.
