I wanted to point out a way for some of you who hold a Hunter Saftey course under your belt can get a non resident Florida Conceal Carry permit without taking a course. I have always wanted to take the Florida course as an Illinois resident who travels to Florida quite a bit. I always balked at the price. On average here in IL a Florida course will run $150. Plus the fee for your picture, fee for range time, fee for the State of Florida. So one day while reading all the fine print on the Florida non resident application, I noticed that a Hunter Saftey course completion card will take the place of range time and certification. I sent in a copy of my card along with all the other requirements and now have my Florida permit. I paid $117. That is the state fee. Hope this helps!
