ArmsList a 'CraigsList' type site for Firearms.

This should be interesting! Wonder how long it's going to last before the Fun Boyz from DC shut it down for some reason?
Seems to me IF you're purchasing from within your own state there should never be any problem what so ever. From
across state lines might be another, but person to person should be legal regardless. Let's see how it goes.

There is no law against advertising legal weapons for sale across state lines. Still need to obey interstate shipping rules. No justification to shut down the site. GunBroker is alive and well, and I'll bet this site grows.

I can see the FBI, DHS etc paying very close attention to this site and any other like it......

looks like a good site.there's nothing better than competition for the other guys. hopefully it will save us buyers in the pocket.

Rest assured the BATFE will be monitoring the site to find criminal activity. Sadly, if they can't find any, they're capable of entrapment.

I find it interesting that neither Guns - Online Gun Auction - Guns at GunBroker.com or AuctionArms.com - Online Gun Auction & Guns For Sale is not on this list...

which in my view makes its validity questionable...

something is rotten in Denmark as the saying goes...

It's a legitimate site, I've used it. You just have to be careful who you buy from, and meet at a secure location if in doubt. Kinda like Craigslist. There are some great deals to be had just make sure you take something like this with you:

Bill of Sale
I, ______________________, do sell and transfer (1)_____________________________________

marked with Serial Number _______________________ to ______________________________.

Seller
I represent that to the best of my knowledge, I
am the lawful owner of the firearm listed
above. No warranty is expressed or implied by
the Seller.
Seller assumes no responsibility after transfer
of ownership has taken place.

Buyer
Buyer agrees to the terms and conditions set
forth and listed on this document. Buyer
attests that he meets all applicable state and
federal requirements to legally buy and
possess firearms.
Buyer assumes all responsibility after transfer
of ownership has taken place.

So let me attempt to clarify further...

What I find questionable is that "http://www.topgunclassifieds.com/" finds "http://www.armslist.com/" #1 and NEITHER "http://www.gunbroker.com/" or "http://www.auctionarms.com/" is on the list thus far...

When by any reputable standard Gun Broker Dot Com and Auction Arms Dot Com are better and do exponentially more volume then ArmsList Dot Com or any of the other 29 sites listed on Top Gun Classified Dot Com or ALL OF THEM COMBINED ...

Gun Broker Dot Com is the de facto undisputed KING of Firearms & Weapons online auctions and or classifieds... with Auction Arms being a very close Second and Guns America being a close Third...

Like ebay these 3 definitively have the market share of the online weapons market hands down...

Although, I am glad to have some more options with arms list & top gun classified aforementioned, with the selection I have seen thus far I am not seeing anything unusual either in weapons or discounts compared to what I can find just about any day of the year on the big 3 ...

just my nickels worth ...

Make sure you use a licensed FFL Dealer.

That's why ArmsList is different from online auctions. It list firearms that are for sale in your state and your area of the state. This allows people to bypass an FFL dealer and do FTF transactions. Like I said before, it's the CraigsList of firearms.

you can also do that via gunbroker.com, auctionarms.com, gunsamerica.com

This site is for person to person transfers. Not for shipping across state lines. If you do buy a gun in Las Vegas, Nevada and want it shipped to Michigan then you would need an FFL Licensed person on both ends, NOT FACE TO FACE! Haven't you ever bought a gun from a private seller, like your next door neighbor, friend at a gun club, family member. This is no different. Just make sure who your dealing with, meet in a common location like a range, and cover you a$$ with the type of sales agreement I posted in post#15. If you need anymore clarification let me know.
