Armed Guard jobs?

So, I have my NYS pistol permit and completed a NYS 47 firearms training course where as I am now NYS certified armed guard. Problem is most of the armed guard jobs are in NYC. Now some background, I'm a civil servant, volunteer firefighter,EMT-B,and business owner too. NYC pistol permit office informs me that i must be employed by a security company to receive a special guard license. I think ok not a problem BUT every company I tried wanted me to already have a unrestricted or guard restricted special carry. I've learned unless you're ex law enforcement or military forget about getting a armed guard job in NYC. So frustrated :shout:

IM working for a company located in NYC as an armed guard, and they told me that its very very hard to get me a nyc permit or sponsor me for the permit.

so im just doing all upstate area as far as armed guard work.
