Arkansas: Important Self Defense Legislation Passes House Committee
House Bill 1819, an important reform to the Governor's Emergency Powers, was given a “Do Pass” recommendation by the House State Agencies & Governmental Affairs Committee today. HB 1819, introduced by state Representative Charlotte Vining Douglas (R-75), would remove the ability of any Arkansas Governor to impose restrictions on the transfer or transportation of lawfully possessed firearms during a declared State of Emergency. HB 1819 now moves to the floor of the state House for consideration.
Please contact your state Representative TODAY and urge them to support HB 1819 when it comes up for a vote.
