Are You A Gun Snob?

Back when I managed a gun business I was approached to sell the Jennings firearms and After looking into the reliability and found that some states out right banned the sales of the guns because of issues I decided the liability was to high. I believe they have since been taken over by another company. I could purchase them at a cost of $65.00 dollars. they sold for $125.00 The profit involved could not over come the problems I could invision coming.

I'm a Colt, Springfield Armory, and Taurus snob. Would have been a Glock snob, but held a few and ergos didn't suit me.

Hell, we're all snobs.

I think the word snob is not as controversial as it's intended meaning . After all, some people are cheap snobs....meaning they will buy anything as long as it is cheap..
there are brand name snobs. who will pay anything as long as it is brand name. Some people turn up their nose at those beneath their station in life.. but then some people turn up their nose at those who think they are better than others. Some snobs would never pay 3000 dollars for a hand gun, and others would Only pay 3000 dollars. I see all types of snobs at my range, those who distance themself from the High end shooter, and Big game African Hunter. I also see the 30,000 dollar a pop African big game hunters at our club sit at a table and look down their nose at the old Vet who can just barely scrap enough money to pay their dues. With 5,000 members, there are all types of snobs at our club. Still a great club with so much diversity.
Calling someone a snob, is not as demeaning as it once was thought. A snob could be a term of endearment, meaning , in this case that some people have a passion for their hand guns.
For me, I bought a Kimber custom shop gun because it was something on my bucket list. I could have spent much more, but6 for me this particular hand gun with Crimson laser grips, Meprolight night sighs, light weight, rosewood grips was everything I wanted in a final carry gun, without being concerned about the cost. It has met my every expectation both in looks , quality and it ability to put ever shot, without fault on target., So owning a gun that I'm proud to own, and confident in its ability to defend me or my family makes me a snob. I do not feel the same about any other weapon I own, even the few bench guns I've built.

I guess you could call me a snob. I LOVE every gun I own. But mostly I love having a safe full of guns. That's why I have everything from Hi-Points to top end 1911's.

Can one be poor and a gun snob? I dream of owning a Wilson Combat, Cabot, Ed Brown or Nighthawk Custom 1911 but in my current state of affairs will likely not happen. I am a perfectionist, at least when it comes to mechanical things and I love high end precision made hand guns and rifles and if I had the equipment and knowledge would make my own. I have a friend that has what I consider to be one sloppy azz series 70 45 but he won't put dime one into it to correct it's shortcomings and that irritates the hell out of me. It's basically a very shiny paperweight that shoots. I have always bought what I could afford but never what I really wanted and one day I aim to change that--at least one or two times.

I'm a Beretta, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Taurus, Kel-Tec, Armscor, Mossberg, Browning, CAI, Auto-Ordanance, NAA, Llama, Cobra, FEG, Remington, Winchester, Marlin, Rossi, Springfield, Enfield, Norinco, Knickerbocker snob. There might be more, IDK.

I do have to admit that I actually like the little jennings 22s, they are a good looking little firearm... It is fun to take them out and try to get them to NOT jam or misfire.... I will say this for them though... they (I have owned probably 5 of them) have NEVER failed to fire on the first shot, Maybe if you just used them as a single shot?

You like Jennings. Lol. There is an admission i do not know what b to do with. That is like saying you like Yogos, and think they are great cars. Or like saying a proven dog that bites would make a great lap dog for small children. I could see someone having one Jennings to try, or dink with, to gain experience with crap made guns, but to purchase 5 of them, and like them? Cut It Out!

Your point is what exactly? to prove you are even more of an idiot than we already know you are? Are you drunk? Please tell everyone here what a Yogos is... and what kind of language are you using in "There is an admission i do not know what b to do with."..... At least TRY to make sense... Oh wait, your lies and idiocy are too much for your little brain to keep up with. Yep, that has got to be it. BTW.. If you had ANY reading comprehension at all, you could have figured out that I said I have HAD (not have, you frigging idiot) 5 of the jennings 22's.... I even admitted to liking them, and went on to tell you why. Have you never purchased or owned something impracticle just because you liked the way it looked? I bet you have....You must feel all "superior" now, after you tried to make fun of me (while failing miserably) for owning a specific brand of firearm, which I dont even own ANY OF AT THE MOMENT.... and even going so far as to posting it in a few different threads as if it made a point or something... All it did was show how foolish you are and put yourself in an even LOWER (if that was even possible) light in everyone elses eyes...

Next time you try to make fun of someone, at LEAST TRY to understand what they wrote first.....
