Are we seeing 1939 all over again.
We have a little despot in Iran making threats and building a bomb
We have the son of a littel'er despot in N Korea starving his own people and building a bomb.
We have the mid east in dis-array with anarchy just around the corner.
And the countries of the world look on sipping their Starbucks Mocha's doing nothing except talk.

Kind a like 1930's when the league of nations was totally screwing up countries that eventually broke out in war.

Then low and behold a tiny little nation grows a big set and actually does something based on principle.

"Canada said on Friday that it was closing its embassy in Tehran and gave Iranian diplomats five days to leave the country, branding the Islamic Republic as the "most significant threat to global peace and security."

Way to go Canada. Will others follow suit and Beeeaaachhslap Iran or will they have feet of Clay.

It reminds me of Daniel talking to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon who was troubled by his dreams

31 “Your Majesty looked, and there before you stood a large statue—an enormous, dazzling statue, awesome in appearance. 32 The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. 34 While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.

36 “This was the dream, and now we will interpret it to the king. 37 Your Majesty, you are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory; 38 in your hands he has placed all mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds in the sky. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold.

39 “After you, another kingdom will arise, inferior to yours. Next, a third kingdom, one of bronze, will rule over the whole earth. 40 Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron—for iron breaks and smashes everything—and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others. 41 Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. 42 As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. 43 And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay.

44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. 45 This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces.


Could this be the UN Head of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay.

Major Signs of the End of the Age & the Last Generation. In fact, the prophet Zechariah says that, eventually, all of the nations of the world will gather together against Israel. They'll do so over the issue of who controls Jerusalem. The signs are all around us indicating the soon onset of the Tribulation period: once sound committed churches to Our Lord are fleeing sound doctrine and are falling away into apostasy; the frequency and intensity of earthquakes are on the rise, as well as the reawakening of long dormant volcanoes; worldwide economies are on the brink of catastrophe and world leaders appear to be clueless on how to remedy the situation; and of course, probably the biggest indicator of the nearness of the Tribulation period, is the nation of Israel and how war against them looks inevitable on a variety of fronts. All the nations that were prophesied to come up against the Jewish nation in the end times have been maneuvered into place.

Please forgive the sarcasm. If it weren't so brutally pathetic and true, what passes for worldly wisdom is like a bad script for a "Dumb and Dumber" movie sequel. Folks, even if these events didn't fit in to so many of the prophets' descriptions of the last days, the fact that they perfectly embody the Apostle Paul's prediction that in the last days man would not be able to think even in his own best interest, should be enough to let us know we're there. In the days to come, we will see Israel and the Jews isolated more and more by the nations of the world. Until one day, they will stand absolutely alone against the world. Only the Messiah will be on their side. But that will be enough. If the indicators abound that show us that we are on the doorstep of that final seven year Tribulation period, the snatching away of the Body of Christ is even closer. These “birth pangs” that we are now witnessing are precursors of what lies ahead during that time; ALL signs point to its nearness. The Rapture of the Church is a sign-less event and is imminent; it could happen at any moment.

No need to think we are exempt these days either.

There is always some fruitbasket somewhere who wants to start his own up somewhere.

There is usually at least one somewhere in Asia. This time it is Keem-Jong-Eel.

There is usually at least one somewhere in the Middle East. This time there are several there.

There is usually at least one somewhere in Europe too, but this time we are lucky, there isn't. The Russians have calmed down a lot since they have discovered the pleasures of capitalism and vice.

I'm glad you ask OtisM, I'll try to give you the best "condensed" answer I can.
No one could have said the "same thing" in the 30's because the main ingredient was missing, ISRAEL. People saying the "same thing" in the 60's were simply ignorant of Bible prophecy. None of the prophecies were possible, regardless of how they used to tell it before the re-birth of Israel, because ALL of the End Time Prophecies evolve around the re-birth of Israel. People have always said that Bible prophecy relating to the End Times/Last Days/Last Generation and the Tribulation etc., couldn't be understood, were considered symbolism etc., because Israel didn't exist. Because no nation in history has ever ceased to exist and be re-established as a nation again (especially after 2000 yrs), people had always thought it to be impossible for it to ever become a reality.

God said that Israel would be regathered as a nation once again in the Last Generation, in "ONE DAY". That prophecy was fulfilled on May 14,1948, and as Jesus said, "This re-birth of Israel would mark the beginning of the Last Generation. Jesus said that ALL End Time Prophecy (Rapture of His church, the 7 yrs of the Tribulation aka 70th Week of Daniel, and His Second Coming) would take place in this ONE GENERATION. All the nations that were prophesied to come up against the Jewish nation in the END TIMES have been maneuvered and are presently in place. It is IMPOSSIBLE for this present day prophetic scenario to ever line up this way again. We're already 64 yrs into this Last Generation, that's how short time really is.
