Have to wonder what the motive was. Don't think there would be that much money at a tax prep business.

Love the fact they showed up and left on foot, and were outgunned.
May be time to pursue a new career. Obviously too stupid for crime. Perhaps a job in government?

I would guess ID theft and they thought with no money present it would be an easy hit. They could sit on a beach somewhere and steal hundreds of thousands with little to no risk.

You may be onto something here. The news just did an update on it. The house is a tax preparation place. The door however is always locked, and it is protected by a guard armed with an AR and wearing what appears to be armor.
Also, they showed his 'patrol vehicle'. Made up to look like what a lot of the local PD drives. Dark Blue SUV, push bar on front with a siren/speaker mounted on it, lights on top and grill, spot lights, "PATROL VEHICLE" painted on the front fenders and a decal on the door in the shape of a badge stating "Concealed Carry Permit".

Either a weekend warrior or something even more disturbing. Not sure.

My CPA gets paid by check, or CC, not much cash around, so like you guys I also was wondering... In this neighborhood, where a lot of welfare people live, no one is paying any taxes, or filing a return, Why would a tax place have a armed security guard with body armor, and a look alike car in the drive..... Yeah this stinks of cover operation....
