applying for my CCP

Ok no one may know the answer to this OR I may not get an answer in time but what's the harm in trying right?

You have 6 months to apply for your CCP after you complete the class. Well tomorrow is my last day to apply or else I've run out of time (I haven't had a car in a couple months so I couldn't do it earlier and didn't have the $ earlier) My question is: After you apply, you're supposed to get instructions on getting fingerprints which include scheduling an appointment to do so. IF, for some reason, I can't get an appointment to do it tomorrow and have to do it later in the week, will this make me invalid since that will mean it took longer than 6 months? Or will it be ok as long as I get my initial application in on time?

Who is telling you six months?

I know at least for kentucky there wasn't a timeframe on sending in the CCDW application after completing my class, as I waited two years to have something expunged to ensure I wouldn't have a hassle with my permit. So...my paperwork was good two years after the class was finished.

Try going to the state web site where up apply and see if the answers you are looking for are there. If not try calling the instructor you used and ask him. Good luck. Hope it all works out for you

The instructor for the class said you had 6 months.
So I ended up going down to the service station and asking and they said I'd be ok. I filled out the application and waited for my number to be called just to find out that I had to have a physical certificate to finish the application. The instructor said they didn't give certificates and just the confirmation number but the application place said there was nothing they could do and I needed to go get the actual physical copy of the certificate! So now I have to take the class over again and go from there.

So how does everyone else get their permits if this instructor doesn't give certificates? Something doesn't sound right.

Ahhh yeah that would help wouldn't it? I live in Tennessee.

And NavyLCDR, that's exactly what I was thinking!! Either the girl helping at the service station didn't know what she was doing or the gun range has had a lot of complaints!
So frustrating!
