Appliaction for handgun permit?

Hello, I live in Indiana. I went on line to fill out a lifetime handgun application and one of the questions was have you ever had a gun permit before. Well I have but a long time ago and I have no idea what year it would have been. I cant proceed without filling out that box. Any info would be appreciated on what to do. Thank you for your time.

the permit i have has an issue date printed on it. if you still have to permit laying around somewhere check it out, otherwise i would say call wherever you got the permit from and see if they would be able to tell you

I'd put down your best guesstimate, and annotate it "don't recall exact period". If it's a really long time ago, I would hope the processor would accept that.

Maybe attach a note further clarifying, giving all the information you can (location, your address at the time, etc.)

I don't live there, but I'd say "yes" to that question. They should be able to find out somehow when you had a permit before.

I believe from recently applying myself, I read that if you have had one before but don't remember when exactly you are to state "UNK" for unknown. You can look it up I think either on the application or by going to Link Removed and then down to FAQ for the firearms.
