I have a .40 3.8” compact xdm. Curious what you guys are doing to your xdm variants or just leaving it stock? Haven't done anything to mine yet and still lovin it.

I have the 9mm 3.8 compact XDm. This is my first pistol and I tried out a lot before I decided on this one; part of that was I liked this trigger better than others I tried. I love it and have no complaints. Everything can be made better and there is almost no end when it comes to tweaking/perfecting. For the prices I have seen for some trigger jobs you could almost buy a cheap .22; as I have kids that would be a better use of money at least in my opinion.

A word of caution. If you ever get involved in a shooting, a prosecuting attorney will make minced meat out of you for ANY modifications to your carry piece. They will try to show prior intent. Modify anything used at the range but not on your carry piece.

If some DA wants to go after you they will use anything they can. If you end up on trial you don't have to take the stand. Your best defense is being aware of everything going on around you while carrying, know the laws and act accordingly (much easier said than done). Any defense attorney could simply point out the date of the modifications and the date of the incident and talk about how many hundreds of thousands of people you have been around with the modified trigger and didn't end of shooting any of them. They might try to claim you went to the gun range too much and therefore were itching for a reason to use the gun. If you never went to the gun range they would try to claim that you were not proficient enough with the gun and should not have been carrying it. Modifying your actions based on what some backwards thinking POS lawyer might do in the future is simply dumb in my opinion.

If carrying a weapon is not prior intent to use it, then what is?
