Anyone in Kentucky remember how long it took?

Well i am waiting on my license still. I submitted my certificate and my fees to the Sheriffs office and one guy i know said it only took him 6 weeks, but some say it took almost the full 90 days.

I wonder how long it will take for me. Anyone in KY applied recently and remember how long it took from application til they could pick up their license?

I bet the cell phone part i ordered that is shipping from Hong Kong will easily beat it here and that usually takes around a month. :laugh:

Remember that you can legally open carry in Kentucky without a permit, so maybe that can hold you over. lol

I actually didn't know that. I thought you had to have your conceal permit to open carry, but still i am not sure if i want to be a painted target.

Good call, I'm shocked at myself for not mentioning that considering I OC.

Yes sir, anywhere but a courthouse, detention center or K-12 school. You can carry in your glove box and it cannot be considered concealed by law. You can even OC in a bar as long as it's not loaded. Hey a clip in your pocket is better than no gun at all. You can OC into a police station and the sheriff's office and don't let them tell you different. Kindly remind them they are civilly liable if they do.

Also don't buy into the hype that OC makes you a target, quite the opposite is true. Most people are horribly inattentive and won't even notice you OCing. I've been down in Portland, of all places, on multiple occasions OCing and no one tried me. I've been into this for almost a year and not a single statistic, news story or anything that an OCer had his gun taken away or was shot by a BG first. However there is one verifiable story where two OCers postponed a robbery in a Waffle House, until a LEO noticed them behind the store and arrested them.

Ya i posted in the open carry section but i did have a successful open carry today at a few different places, and hoping to do it until i get my permit.

Mine took 7 weeks and my wifes took 5 1/2 weeks.. even tho we turned in the paper work at the same time:wacko:
