Anybody getting the creeps...?

First it was thought Lanza used an AR to murder these children, and that he also possessed 2 handguns. Then it was verified that the AR was left in the car Lanza drove to the school, and he carried out the attack using the handguns.
Now, the story is that attack was carried out solely with the AR, which happens to be the government's anti-2A legislation poster child.

I'm aware that inconsistencies abound while any event like this unfolds, but I've been around a long time (if 55 years is long), and this doesn't fit the mold...

Yeah the whole first day I heard the AR was in the backseat of the car and he used a 9mm Glock and Sig Sauer during the attack

Turned on the news today and heard the entire attack was with the rifle...not to sure what to make of that

After some consideration I came back and almost tried to pull this thread off the forum, because I don't want to come off as a rabid, paranoid anti-government looney; I support our leaders in the majority of what they do. But the pattern of this trail of revisions isn't sitting right. Very odd.

I heard all those same things and it does seem strange. I don't usually jump at conspiracy stuff(not to imply this is) but the timing of the school, mall, hospital, and now theater again is overwhelmingly unnerving considering the fact that our leaders are clamoring to get the UN to take our rights.

It all goes back to the basics, morals, God and a solid family unit. These items are under attack and need to be brought back into the lime light as something that has been lacking in some families for quite a while now. Just look at all the ACLU types wanting to take away Christmas and substitute it just calling it a holiday, it’s not a holiday tree, it’s a Christmas tree.

I heard he used an AR and a Glock 10mm (caliber inflation?). What the hell is his mom doing with a 10mm anyway. Now I'm hearing about the Glock 20 (I presume), the Sig Sauer (model unknown) 9mm (weapon of war according to Durbin, NOT the 10mm but the 9mm). Then I saw something about a second shooter in call being arrested in the woods, eyewitness reports, telling the parents "I didn't do it" or something like that as the cops were dragging his ass to a squad car. This was even caught on film. First the AR is in the car and he shot everyone with pistols, now he shot everyone with the AR and himself with a pistol and the Enfield that was in the car (not the ideal weapon for mass murder). He had access to a shotgun too but passed on that...but brought an Enfield, alright. This is just WEIRD. It's like the Aurora shooting, the eyewitness accounts about a second shooter, the media's "let's make conjecture but when we have NO IDEA, make wild ass guesses."

Either the media should just say "we have no idea what the hell is going on!" or they should wait and report accurately and not as matter of fact, changing the facts every 10 min.

Yeah, its been a lot of misinformation on this one. I think it all boils down to is someone want to change the gun laws. I live in Michigan and they just revised the carry law. Now I hear the Gov. is having second thoughts about signing it.I hate when a few creeps spoils it for the rest of us!!!

The media hasn't gotten the official story from the government yet. Once the administration determines the most damaging story with the most chance of furthering their gun grab, we will hear what "really" happened.

This may very well be the nail in the coffin for our 2A guys and gals... I hope not, but it may. I already wrote Lindsay Graham a detailed letter on the situation of gun control and how it wont do anything to prevent such things. I hope he reads it...

I would highly advise ALL to fire off a LTR to their Reps and Senators. We've got to ensure they hear about all the legal citizens that want their Rights Protected under the Constitution. IT IS really going to get wild in the next few weeks. Unless of course you're the head of the DOJ and you help supplied illegal arms to the drug cartels. That'll be OK seeing the heat is off on Fast & Furious and all attention is focused on Conn. JUST INSANE!

I've held my opinions to myself for the most part as well out of this same fear - the fear that I'd come off sounding like some paranoid, gun wielding lunatic. Honestly though I can't help but to feel like all this that's going on so close together and with such convenient timing (talks of UN Small Arms Treaty and Obama's re-election alongside his stance on gun control) is really unsettling. It feels as though somebody somewhere really IS pushing an agenda but, once again, I don't wanna sound like a lunatic.

I hear ya John. Our Governor needs to do the right thing here. If the principal or the teacher in the class room had a weapon on them they may have been able to prevent this attack.

Absolutely agree!!! The ultimate hypocrisy is the social welfare liberal element at the forefront of removing God from schools and society on the basis of possibly offending a few. The same liberal element/ACLU etc. is also behind the ineffective mental health system with a revolving door for seriously disturbed individuals. Many of the mental health professional interviewed over the past few days confirmed the extreme difficulty of dealing with the seriously mentally ill. The usual result being nothing can be done until they harm someone. The theater shooting earlier this year was a prime example. Also, although I certainly do not condone abusing children in any form, note that parents can and have been arrested for spanking their children, teachers in our local school systems have been beaten by school children yet they keep letting the kids back in school. Out societies moral compass is all screwed up, but of course, all will be well if assault weapons are banned.

Just curious.. but has anyone thought of security footage? Seems to me it is a school.. I know our schools in Georgia have cameras all over the place. We don't buzz people in... just wondering.. I do know they can be messed with, but in this instance why would they be....
