Automobile Question:
Wife was in an accident on Valentines Day. Other party at fault. Wife hospitalized since released but not released from Dr. Care.
We are in Florida, Other party from NY.
Other party was sighted, witness statements taken, my wife had zero to do with the accident.
Other party has not spoken to his insurance company. When they call him he sometimes answers and hangs up.
He has a home here and a large farm in NY.
Tomorrow His insurance company said they will decide if they are going to accept responsibility for the accident. They said because they have no statement from their insured they may deny the claim.
QUESTION: His insurance company called the towing company where our van was towed and had our van moved to another facility (We don't know where the van went).
Did they automatically accept liability because they had the van moved? We had to sign a release but they determined where the van was going and as I said we have no idea where it went.
Side not is the van is totaled all airbags fired, windshield is broken, front end is smashed in almost to the firewall. God Bless that Town & Country, the inside was completely intact except for the airbags going off.
2004 Town & Country with 115000 miles. Bought it new in 2003 great van. RIP.
