Any Jack Reacher fans here?

Just got back from the movies and saw in the previews that they went forward with Tom Cruise playing the Jack Reacher character. That is just so wrong..... Any thoughts on that from fans?

Jack Reacher is a very big man. His size is mentioned in all his books. Tom Cruise is just too small to do this character justice. Surely casting could have found someone better suited to the role. I did not know about the upcoming movie. Thanks. Long live Reacher!

TC does not fit the role of Reacher. But he still may do a good job. The trailer has me worried. It shows him being a good driver in a muscle car. Don't think Reacher is big on driving. Also the fight scene is nothing like the book. I still want to see it. REACHER CREATURE!!

Yes, I'm a big Jack Reacher fan and I've read all the books. However, I would not go see anything that little piss ant Cruise is in. What a fake and sorry excuse for a real man.

I have read SEVERAL Jack Reacher books. LOVE THEM! Hope the movie does the books justice.

I am actually in the movie if the scene isn't cut and I believe my truck made it as well. The scene at the shooting range. There was a lot of talk "on scene during filming" of this very thing, TC being too small but he may pull it off. I got the impression not many people know of Jack Reacher series of books. It should be a good movie though. I got to shake hands with and briefly talk to Robert Duvall--Bobby D as he was called on set. As a movie extra we had to basically stay out of sight until called for a scene but occasionally some of the actors would come in to where we were to get some snacks and coffee. TC never came around us though. Don't know if he was shy or thought he was better than everyone else. I think the latter. Our scene took 3 days to shoot at a local gun range. It was a lot of sitting around but was worth it to see what goes into producing a film. We did get to watch some of the action that we weren't part of too.
