Any advice regarding Marlin .45-70 1895 GBL?

I'm seriously considering buying a Marlin .45-70 1895GBL, but recent negative comments have me concerned, specifically with the lower quality in the post-buyout Marlins. I used to own an older one (.30-30) and loved it. Anybody have any positive things to say on this gun?

I bought one before the buy out. It's a great gun. A bit heavy but it's worth it.

Sorry Jim....I blogged my reply to you instead of "reply"ing.
Yeah.....an older one is a no-brainer for me......but I'm really referring to the newer post-buyout models.
