So I'm working as a temp at a windows and doors company(they supply Home Depot, HINT,HINT). In the company rule book they have a policy that states anyone who talks about firearms, likes, owns etc.. Should be reported and will be added to a company "Watch list" as a potential mass shooter.
I cant help but laugh my butt off at how silly such a policy is.
Companies never seem to have a "Just right" policy when it comes to dealing with work place safety. Most seem to be overly strict, or to lax on the issue. Point in case a job I had years ago. A female employee said she was going to come in and shoot everyone in the place and or send someone in to do it for her. It was reported to the managers and in turn they did nothing about it.
They never seem to meet in the middle and come up with a "Just right" policy.
