Another truth

I'm always impressed when the absolute truth shows up in short form:
The problems we face today are
there because the people who work
for a living are outnumbered by those
who vote for a living.

Under Barack Obama, the moocher society is expanding. The moochers are multiplying at rapid rates. They won't work, but they durned sure can breed. Figures show that one out of every six Americans you meet will receive some sort of government handout. There are more than 50 million Americans in Medicaid, and wait until ObamaCare kicks in. More than 40 million Americans are on food stamps.

Remember, not only did you contribute to Social Security but your employer did too.
It totaled 15% of your income before taxes.
If you averaged only 30K over your working life, that’s close to $220,500.
If you calculate the future value of $4,500 per year (yours & your employer’s contribution) at a simple 5% (less than what the govt. pays on the money that it borrows), after 49 years of working (me) you’d have $892,919.98.
If you took out only 3% per year, you receive $26,787.60 per year and it would last better than 30 years, and that’s with no interest paid on that final amount on deposit!

If you bought an annuity and it paid 4% per year, you’d have a lifetime income of $2,976.40 per month.
The folks in Washington have pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madhoff ever had.

Entitlement my ass , I paid cash for my social security insurance!!!!
Just because they borrowed the money , doesn't make my benefits some kind of charity or handout !! Congressional benifits , aka. free healthcare , outrageous retirement packages , 67 paid holidays , three weeks paid vacation , unlimited paid sick days , now that's welfare , and they have the nerve to call my retirement entitlements !!!!!!.....

WAKE UP AMERICA !!!!

Tuesday's Daily Bulletin paper, ran two articles on the front page side by side :

1- Calif 's 20 Billion Dollar Budget Deficit

2- The Calif Supreme Court ruling that ILLEGALS can attend college
and get benefits.

Why don't they just deport them when they arrive to register?

3- Last year they ran an article on the yearly costs to Calif Taxpayers from
Illegals using Hospital Emergency Rooms for their general health care -

At just one hospital the cost to tax payers totaled over 25 million a year

Someone please tell me what the HELL's wrong with all the people that run
this country!!!!!!

We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless
etc.,???????????

In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , and Turkey And
now Pakistan ......home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they
get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour
Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!

They call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us
have been paying for it all our working lives and now when its time for us
to collect, the government is running out of money.
Why did the government borrow from it in the first place?

We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for
the adoption of foreign orphans.

AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to
bed hungry, elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without
treatment -etc,etc.

YET....................
They have a 'Benefit' for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and
planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and
medical supplies.

Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other
countries.

Sad isn't it?

Those that Produce in the Country are penalized
Those that don't produce are subsidized
Those that complain the most about the Producers not giving enough are canonized.

We reward slothful behavior like it's a badge and take from those that earn and reduce their standard of living to almost no better then the slothful individual.

Communism has over thrown this country WITHOUT one shot being fired.

The fact is that the Democrats would have it no other way. A moocher society will inevitably vote Looters into power. Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, Harry Reid .. these are the Looters extraordinaire.

It sicken me to know end to think the likes of Bill Ayres who was responsible for over 30 bombings and killing and wounding many LEO and innocent people is now Indoctrinating our new and upcoming sponge minds that will soon be voting Democrap/communist/socialist.

Good ethics, good financial stewardship, and a few more I didn't list seem to be a dying art these days.

It used to be that when one was caught by police in the "Old days," one's parents would scold them for the wrongdoing. These days, parents do the scolding because the person was caught by the police, not for doing the wrong thing, because they were only wrong because they get caught.

I know that it's the high road, by somebody's got to take it!

Back in the "Old Days", when family was important, you didn't want to disappoint your parents by doing something stupid. Now there is no personal responsibility so who cares. Parents don't dare scold the children, that could be abuse.

The former is a much more difficult problem to remedy, the latter not so much. I discovered that even in my state there was a misunderstanding about corporal punishments legality. As for Kentucky, spanking your kids is alive and well and your right to do so is protected by law. Maybe someone in each state should research your laws to discover what the legality is and inform people of such. If it is actually illegal in your state, im thinking you should work on that.

"Spare the rod and spoil the child"

Phrases become old sayings for a reason.

i don't care what the "law" says. I'm responsible for my children coming into the world. My wife and I punished our children our way and they turned out just fine. Two are in the military one is in collage and one is successful business man with a wife and family. I couldn't be prouder. Non of them felt they were mistreated. Intimidation can be a wonderful tool.

Exactly how I view it. This is my money and if they had let me keep it to invest, I would have more than they'll provide at retirement. Remember, $500 per month invested in a 401K averaging 8% per year for 30 years is nearly $1 million. Those of us in high property tax states are actually handing over our retirement (NY, NJ, MA, CA). My property tax in NY? $10,047 per year. In NC it would be about $2,300 for the same size home/property.

I guess I am a lot older than you because the police didn't have to see you doing something wrong. When I was young, if a neighbor or family friend caught you doing something wrong, they would tan your hide, send you home and call your parents. When you got home, your parents would again tan your hide for wrongdoing and there would be no claim of child abuse. A cop could stand there and watch you punish your child for his actions and just laugh. If you did wrong, you knew what was coming and just sucked it up. You didn't pull that same stunt again! Now you don't dare punish little Johnny for his behavior or the full force of law and social workers would be down on you like white on rice. Those were the good old days and I had my bottom tanned enough to set me straight for adulthood! Remember, "spare the rod and spoil the child"?

Be careful before you educate someone
I'll admit sometimes people need help and I think they should get it and I think we should give it to them the problem is when people can't survive without the help meaning it becomes a way of life instead of a stepping stone id rather help pay for a persons education than help them get food stamps teach them to fish vs give them a fish if people dont get some type of help we will all use are CW's more than we want to which is what I thought this site was about

The federal government is not interested in education. They are all about building dependents with there social programs. More dependents means more votes for the "I care more than you do" progressive liberal candidates.

We may have gone somewhat astray from the original slant but the message I think was that families have declined to the point where some are professional freeloaders. Children who were attended to years ago by their parents and, disciplined when needed, became more self-sufficient and less likely to live on the government dole. Granted, there are some people who, dictated by circumstances beyond their control, have needed assistance and very few would deny them. There are others who will not work but insist on being given a free ride. This has become generational and it is time for it to stop. If someone doesn't want to work and take care of their families, don't come crying to me. You have a family, you work for it. If you have children, you raise and feed them yourself. If you keep having children, you had better keep on getting better jobs because I'm not going to pay for them. If you want a child educated, you step up help him/her go to school as best you can. That is what my parents did; that is what I did and my three children are all now professionals.

I would add too that if your children and or you fail in what ever part of life that you're going through. Learn from the pain, accept the situation and adapt to overcome what ever the endeavour may be. NO ONE ever said it would be easy. BUT-YOU have to do the work, aided at times of dire emergency, but it's up to you, the individual, to make yourself successful. NOT Society or the Government.

Here is another classic quote:
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform."
- Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944, and 1948
- This was from a speech in 1944.

If you had invested it, you would have lost it to GWB's banker buddies in the Crash of 2004, My sons were independent and invested for retirement as did several of my relatives. They lost so much that they will never be able to recover their losses, thus facing retirement at 80+ , if at all. Now the banker's kids are in Las Vegas blowing that money away like it was Monopoly play money. Now everybody wants to change things so that the pirates can get everybody else's money. There is more than one kind of moocher in America, some of them drive nice cars and gamble like Arabs.
