In California? That's hard to believe.

Maybe it will change their view on CCW Permits. I believe by the end of 2013 many schools in the U.S. will have teachers who CCW. As they should, if the principal in Conn. would have had a gun instead of rushing a guy with an assault rifle unarmed, she may have not only lived but stopped the shooter also.

I understand that there is a difference between AR style and an actual assault rifle. Please explain to me what makes an actual assault rifle. I am still new to this.

Is it select-fire? No? Than it's NOT an Assualt Rifle...

EDIT: To take it further, is it chambered for an intermediate rifle round(ex. 5.56x45 or 7.62x39) and feeds from a detachable magizine? Than yes, it may be an assualt rifle... as oppossed to a Battle Rifle(select-fire, magizine fed and chambered for a full power rifle round like a .308), Sub-Machine gun(select-fire, magizine fed and chambered for a pistol round like 9mm) or Machine gun(possible select-fire and belt fed).

When you refer to AR-15, the original was actually named Armalite Rifle-(model 15). Hence, "AR"

The media is trying to promote assault with any gun that is automatic. I had to explain to one in our jeep group yesterday that he was one of the misinformed.
The general public needs to realize that most of the media is part of the government's tools to brain wash them.

The report said the school did had a arm guard but he didn't show up today because he was snowed in.

Guess he decided not to follow those Gun Free Zone Laws and all of those strict Gun Control laws in California. It also doesn't help that the Mainstream News Propaganda Networks feed us 24 hour glorification of school shooters and make celebbrities out of them.
