Another SC Sheriff tells women to Get You a Gun

This is one of those stories that makes me sick to my stomach but another SC Sheriff tells women (and men) to get a CWP (he has to say that and not what he really wants to say). This is a case where is the lady had been armed would certainly have turned out different. In SC she could have had a gun in her console without a CWP and in this case would have been adequate without having to carry it on her.

If this is the wrong forum I apologize but wanted it seen by the most readers possible.

He'll probably get off because he grew up without a father and suffers from ADD or ADHD or some such and wasn't responsible for his actions.

I love SC but there is more and more of this happening every day here.

second amendment say we can carry but gov"say we need a cwp!so sick to your stomach don't blame south carolina bame the democrats an obama!

You disarm the populace and your goons in SEIU/ACORN/Unions/Occupy idiots who blame jews and their money for all our woes, and lest we forget the civilian defense force and secret bills out there authorizing the use of military to "quell civil unrest" is a recipe for germany 1930/hitler/brownshirts and stalin/kgb russia---come Nov 2012 if the king should lose, watch out---lock and load members--it may be coming.--the complete demise of USA and freedom. I am jewish and there is no reason to think this cannot happen here--just like germany 1930.

Good thing about SC is that we are truly aloud to defend ourselves if our lives are threatened. We have no duty to retreat.

Not that I wouldn't try to retreat but the law leaves it open and it has been tested with affirmative results.

DUMB-ASS ALERT.

So much is wrong here that it is assinine.

She was openly hassled.
She left a secure store area with people around.
She did not call 911, but her mother.
She deliberately drove down a secluded road, that she should have known (probably did know) did not have cell service.

How many ways can you spell STUPID.

Sure she should/could have had a gun.
But she also should have been smart enough to avoid the situation.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda, still means didn't, doesn't it?

Haven't we all had discussions with our loved ones as to what to do in situations?
You have, haven't you?

While I agree you should be aware of you surroundings no matter where you are, you should have the freedom to move without threat.
