Another Mass Shooting 6 Dead + the Gunman

Six people were killed near Milwaukee at a Sikh temple. A responding LEO was shot multiple times. What's next?

Idiots like these should never be taken into custody.....

Save the Families the pain of a trial.....

I have read and seen three cases in my state alone (MA) of random shootings since Aurora. A man exited his house and opened fire on random pedestrians, killing 2 children. A man held up in his own home after a messy divorce, and held a psuedo-firefight with LEOs after shooting his wife. How do we begin to process all of these many incidents? Is it just a culmination of the uneasy American economy/social unrest/etc. or do we have a heightened sense of awareness to shootings now since the Aurora incident?

I think your right on with economy/social unrest. With the bad economy and a leader that believes socialism can work if the right people control it. His policies promote hate the rich, religion is bad for our social fabric, municipalities are running in the red trying to keep up with social programs and keeping up with lavish retirement contracts. Mean while public safety takes a major hit with many layoffs. Convicted felons are kicked out of jails thanks partly to bleeding heart liberal judges that believe jails should be more like low budget vacation resorts. We have special interest cheapening life with abortion on demand and doctor assisted suicide. Now the political solution is to blame the tools of crime and prop the criminal up as a victim. From a progressive liberal prospective: Where's the problem? :sarcastic:

"fuhr52" - you make some great points. May I also add that...the media is constantly looking for bigger stories, more hype and opportunities to have viewer/readership return by framing the story in a controversial manner. With the rise in social media and the fact that most people have video capabilities with their phones, everyone is now a reporter and a mass of reporters in the world now force the media to take extraordinary measures to get those readers/viewers. Those measures include speculating the why, framing the incident to a social issue that most people can relate to, controlling the message to either be left or right of a political view and not allowing opposing debates or viewpoints once they've made their mind up on what the message is. Repulsive if you ask me.

What's next? In about 15 minutes the usual suspects will be all over the TV calling for more and better gun control. Breathless Senators will introduce bills to make this and that illegal, so the public will be safer. The chattering class and elites will bemoan the fact that citizens can actually own firearms. The NRA will (yet again) be cast as the epitome of evil. Large capacity magazines will get blamed. Semi automatic ASSAULT WEAPONS will be portrayed as the root of all bad things. The gun show loophole will be blamed for another madman's behaviors. In short, all the usual people will be doing all the usual things on all the usual channels. For all the complex problems a situation like this brings up, there will be simple blanket solutions proposed that will not work. Whats next? the same old story, same old song and dance.

Power elite at it again eh? Trying to stir up the Muzslum beehive this time. So what's next, a mall shoot 'em up (Mall of America Look out), Christian church, a stadium, a subway? You watch they will have some new bill already in the works to introduce tomorrow, and another bill then a shooting and another bill then a shooting etc until every non-thinking leftist gun hater is begging for a total ban on firearms.

Police used an evil gun to stop this guy, quick response this time still left dead and dying, wake up America.

I can't agree on everything you're saying here but nonetheless, and whomever people want to blame, a good chunk of the population is very dissatisfied with their lives and this is coming to a front. Perhaps its more heated now during the "dog days" of summer as the adage goes. People tend to get a bit crazier this part of the year.

could all this be some kind of GOV thing??????,,or have the looneys just come out of the woodwork?

There is no limit to loonies [note the correct spelling] everywhere including on this website trying to cheerlead for Romney [case in point].

Another mass killing. As King Soloman said 3000 years ago,"There is nothing new under the sun." Whenever something like this happens its the same old tired call by the same people. If you look through the centuries you will find out just how cheap life really is. Look at the Holocaust for just one example among many. And lets face the facts, the media and its listeners thrive on sensational stories. It would be 'dull' reporting if instead of saying '3 killed in shootout', the report said '2,000,000 citizens in our city had a safe uneventful day'.

The antigun political opportunists are always on the left. Progressives believe people can't be blamed for thier actions; it always has to be the environment or some inanimate object. They believe people and the collective can become perfect if there are just enough of the right kind of laws and a big enough government. Back in the 1970's there were commercials that said don't help a good boy go bad; remove your keys and lock your car. They failed to recognize that good boys don't steal cars.

Conservatives believe that real evil exists and can not be completely eliminated no matter how many laws are passed. Only good people abide by the laws; the evil and crazy never will. Communism doesn't work because the flaws in human nature are not recognized. Lazy people will always be lazy. And evil people will always kill and steal. Our founders gave us the 2nd amendment to allow for an armed defense against a tyrannical government and other people intent on doing evil.

Europe has been used as an example of how well gun control works. In the last few years there has been a drastic increase in crime throughout Europe, including mass murder. The UK has gradually eliminated all classes of firearms but crime has still increased. There even have been calls for the elimination of pointed steak knives in the UK. But criminals are doing very well in Europe because they know they are safe from all violent self defense.

Maybe likely, but why all of these shootings at around the same time? The economy has been bad since 2008? Where were all the mass shootings then or two years ago or a year ago?

For me, it's a bit suspicious with the election right around the corner? The CIA infiltrates in other countries all the time. Why not right here?

I pray for the Families that lost loved ones.....

If only someone in this church was armed and shot this turd!

this has nothing to do with romney,,and thanks to the speeling police ,i don't know how i get thru life with-out you
